There are no auditions required for participation in any choir at WMPC. All that is asked is an ability to match pitch and a commitment to faithful attendance at rehearsals and services.

Cherub Choir:
A choir for children presently enrolled in Kindergarten (or age 5 before October 15).
This choir sings at the 9:30 Worship four or five times each year, at the Joy Gift Service during the Christmas season, and at the 4:00 p.m. Bell Service on Christmas Eve.
Rehearsals are held in the Choir room each Wednesday from 4:00-4:30 p.m.
Directors for this choir are Ginny Gada and Eddie Abernathy.

Carol Choir:
A choir for children presently enrolled in First or Second Grade.
This choir sings at the 9:30 Worship four or five times each year, at the Joy Gift Service during the Christmas season, at the 5:00 p.m. Bell Service on Christmas Eve, and in the past has sung at the Governor’s Mansion during the Christmas season.
Rehearsals are held in the Choir room each Monday from 4:00-4:45 p.m.
Directors for this choir are Ginny Gada, Celeste Allen, and Brock Downward.

Joyful Noise Choir:
A choir for children presently enrolled in Third, Fourth, or Fifth Grade.
This choir sings at the 11:00 Worship five times each year, at the Plum Pudding concert and the Joy Gift Service during the Christmas season, and performs a Spring musical.
Rehearsals are held in the Choir room each Tuesday from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Choir Chimes:
A beginning bell choir limited to 15 children in Third, Fourth, and Fifth grades.
Rehearsals are held in the Choir Room each Tuesday at 5:00-5:30 p.m., following Joyful Noise rehearsal.

Youth Choir:
A choir for young men and women, grades Six through Twelve.
This choir sings for several Sunday Worship services each year, at the Plum Pudding concert during the Christmas season. This group also takes an overnight trip in the Spring which involves a Sunday when they sing for a church on the trip route.
Rehearsals are held in the Choir Room each Sunday from 7:00-7:30 p.m. (immediately after Youth Fellowship).

Youth Bell Choir:
Each person needs to have an extra level of commitment for attending rehearsals and must be able to demonstrate an adequate level of musical ability, i.e. must be able to read music.
This choir rings at the Plum Pudding concert during the Christmas season. Other dates they play are not set, but will be gauged according to the ability and availability of the group.
Rehearsals are held in the Choir Room each Sunday from 5:00-5:30 p.m., before Youth Fellowship.

Brass Ensemble:
A small ensemble of musicians who play brass instruments.  Age range is from high school through adult.  Tuba, Trombone, French Horn, and Trumpet accepted.  The choir performs during and after occasional church services, as well as several of the special concerts during the year.  Practice is every 10 days, alternating between Wednesday at 7:00 in the Sanctuary and Sunday during the 11:00 service.
