Divorce Support offers to those experiencing separation and divorce an opportunity to give and receive support while learning ways to learn, grow and heal.
Healing from Divorce - Jim Smoke, a longtime facilitator of divorce recovery workshops, writes that divorce is “one of the most painful and emotionally draining experiences that a human being can have. It results in the death of a marriage, but does not have the finality of physical death. The vestiges of a former way of life remain to remind and overshadow a present existence. It is a hurt that goes deep and is accompanied by the doubt that it will ever heal.”
Divorce Support for Adults and Teens
Divorce Support is a WMPC gathering where participants share with, learn from and care for one another in hope of healing.
This series will meet for four weeks beginning March 14, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Adult sessions will be led by Lisa Hebacker and teen sessions will be led by Laura Boyd. Registration is required in order to ensure that divorced or divorcing couples are not enrolled together.
Note: If you are familiar with Divorce Recovery as WMPC has offered it in the past, Divorce Support will be similar yet different.
