Music

Music Ministry at White Memorial Presbyterian Church
Music ministry at White Memorial Presbyterian Church provides opportunities for all ages. The focus of our ensembles is twofold: each group prepares for worship leadership and participation as a ministry of music; also, each group celebrates fellowship, mutual care, and nurturing of abilities and faith -- all as a ministry through music.

In addition to participating in Sunday mornings, Hot Dish and Hope, or midweek worship services, WMPC music ministry ensembles provide outreach on occasion with visits to area retirement communities, community events, and music festivals.

There are opportunities to develop vocal and instrumental skills. The music ministry of WMPC provides an important venue for stewardship of time and talent.

How to Become Involved
Your interest in joining a music ministry ensemble may be to share your musical gifts, or to learn more about music, or to find a small group within a large congregation in which to share faith and a relationship with God, or any combination of those endeavors! You are cordially invited to explore the details of each ensemble listed below, then contact the appropriate ensemble director or others as designated for more information. Arrangements for childcare can be made with advance notice. We look forward to having you join us!

The Chancel Choir and Sanctuary Choir continue year round with a brief break in rehearsal schedule each summer. Other groups rehearse and participate September thru May, including the Seasonal Choir for Advent and Lent. The Brass Choir and Handbell Choir both use "block scheduling" which basically allows you to participate a month at a time. Thank you for your interest!
