WMPC Women’s 2023 Retreat
February 3 - 5 | Pinehurst, NC
February 3-5, 2023
Guest Speaker: Pastor Anna Rainey Dickson
Habits of the Heart: Practices for a New Season
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with your whole heart” (Jeremiah 29:13)
We are excited to welcome back guest speaker Anna Rainey Dickson as she draws on the famous quote from St. Augustine, “Our hearts are restless until they rest in you, O God.” She will talk about different spiritual practices that help connect us to God, self, and neighbor. We hope you will join us for this time to reconnect together in fellowship and sisterhood.
Anna is thrilled to get to spend the weekend with the women of White Memorial! Since her ordination at WMPC in 2011, Anna has served congregations in both Raleigh and Charlotte. Anna enjoys her current call as the Associate Pastor for Congregational Care at First Presbyterian Church because of its emphasis on relationship-building and mutual care. She loves the way worship can shape our imagination for more faithful, fulfilled living in God’s world, and is grateful to get to witness the creative discipleship that flows out of FPC’s worship in the heart of Charlotte. She has most recently led the effort to open a counseling center at FPC this fall as a part of the church’s recent capital campaign, and believes wholeheartedly in FPC’s commitment to provide excellent, affordable mental health services in its immediate and diverse community. Anna believes the church is in a ripe post-pandemic moment that calls for creativity, openness, and trust in a God who is always out ahead of us. She is married to CJ, and together they have two children: Margaret (7) and Andrew (5). She holds a BA from Washington and Lee University, a MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a certificate in Executive Leadership from Princeton Theological Seminary. She is also a trained ICF leadership coach.
