Jean began her call as the Parish Nurse in September 2015. This is a new position at White Memorial Presbyterian Church growing out of the Health Ministries Committee. She promotes holistic health in the congregation through one-on-one interaction, counseling, support through grief and suffering, advocacy, resources, referral and education.
Jean has been a member of WMPC for 29 years and has served on the Health Ministries Committee, co-chaired the blood drive and co-chaired the Bereavement Care Team. Jean has a Master of Science degree in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her nursing experience includes work at Rex Hospital, Wake Health Services, Kaiser Permanente, Whitaker Glen and Transitions Hospice.
Jean is married to Peter Williams and has two grown children, Martha and Woodie. In her spare time she enjoys tennis, reading and spending time with her family.
