Christmas Share: Alternative Giving at Its Best

Christmas Share has been a part of WMPC’s Christmas outreach for thirty years. It is a way to honor or remember friends and family while helping those in our community and the world through our mission partners. Over the years, this program has raised over one million dollars impacting hunger, affordable health care, underserved youth, homelessness, family violence, affordable housing, crisis intervention, and provided life skills training through a variety of programs. Christmas Share enables donors to choose areas they are passionate about and make a difference.

The process is simple. Fill out a form to designate where your donation is to be sent and get cards for each $5.00 donation. With one check made out to WMPC, you can donate to as many agencies as you like, and after Christmas one check is sent by the church to each agency totaling all donations. You will not be solicited by agencies because we do not share donor names. The amount of your donation will be noted on your quarterly financial statement.

Christmas Share donations are accepted from November 1-December 24, 2022. Forms are available in the newsletter, tables are set up each Sunday in Advent from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the connector, and the forms and cards are available in Gloria Johnson’s office (W301) anytime from 9:00 a.m—5:00 p.m. during the week.

This is a great program to remember teachers, club members, neighbors, and business associates. We remember Christ’s birth by continuing his word.
