Sunday, September 20 | 5:00-7:00 p.m.

While kids attend programming of their own, join fellow parents for dinner and a workshop led by parenting coach Laura Brimberry. We'll have pizza and salad for dinner for $6 per person. Laura's presentation will be applicable for parents of children of all ages! Learn more about the topic below:

We live in an age of comparison.  Parents recognize this truth throughout their parenting journey.  How does that cultural norm communicate to the development of a young person?   Did you know that perfectionism is deeply rooted in anxiety? The tricky thing is understanding that anxiety is a shape shifter and can show itself in different behaviors in different children.  In this presentation we will dig into how perfectionism shows up in all ages and how to support a healthy environment throughout your family life. We will also highlight how our shared faith can be a meaningful antidote.  Bring your questions, your joys and challenges to this conversational and informative gathering.

Childcare will be available for children younger than kindergarteners. Older kids are invited to attend movie night, Club 4/5, or Youth Group. To learn more about which of these opportunities is right for your child, contact Genevieve Brooks (gbrooks@whitememorial.org).
