Eric joined the White Memorial staff in June, 2025. He has worked as a musician in the Presbyterian Church for nearly forty years. He helps to oversee the ways music is part of worship and life at WMPC collaborating with other staff members in preparing and doing worship, serving as congregational song accompanist and organist, directing the Sanctuary Choir, and teaching and connecting wherever possible. Before coming to WMPC, he served in Texas at Austin Seminary as the Gene Alice Sherman Associate Professor of Sacred Music and Dean of the Chapel. He also serves in the summers as the Conference Center Musician in Montreat, North Carolina. He is married to Mary, and their son Tristan lives in Durham. He loves reading and biking in spare moments and is glad to be part of the WMPC family.
