After the closure of the food pantry at Wilson Temple UMC, White Memorial’s Outreach Committee joined with our neighbors in the Oberlin Road Churches—White Memorial, St. John’s Baptist, Wilson Temple UMC, Victory of the Cross and Oberlin Baptist—to continue caring for those in our community facing food insecurity. Together, we are delighted to offer a new drive-through food pantry, open from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the third Saturday of every month. This ministry depends on the generosity of our congregation.
Most Needed Items: non-perishable food items, like peanut butter, canned tuna, and beans, along with healthy snacks like raisins, Nutri-Grain bars, and fruit pouches.
Donations may be placed in the red bins outside the Outreach Room.
We also invite you to share your time and talents by volunteering, either Friday afternoon or Saturday mornings. If you have questions or would like to learn more about how to volunteer, contact Ruth Landers at ruth@landers.me.
