High School Beach Retreat

High School Beach Retreat

October 10-11, 2026

Trinity Center, Pine Knolls Shores, NC

Don’t miss this incredible Sabbath weekend! This retreat is an opportunity for high school students to take a deep breath after school gets started, reconnect with church friends, and practice Sabbath down by the coast. We will enjoy an amazing afternoon on a catamaran and conclude the weekend with worship, beach time & sabbath practices. 

The intention of this retreat is for our high school community to reconnect and get away amidst the hustle and bustle of transitioning back to school. Because of this and limited space restraints, this retreat is open to members only.

High School Massanetta "Keep Awake" Retreat

High School Massanetta "Keep Awake" Retreat

Introducing a NEW Fall Retreat!! The Keep Awake Retreat at Massanetta Springs Conference Center is a gathering of high school students and their adult leaders from many Presbyterian Churches around the region for an unforgettable weekend of growing in your faith and with your community. Activities include small group meetings, workshops, worship, music, play & sabbath. This retreat is inspired by PC(USA)’s Matthew 25 initiative which calls on us to put our faith into action, embody love & seek justice, and empower leadership on every level.

Appalachia Service Project (ASP)

Appalachian Mountains

ASP, also known as Appalachia Service Project, has a rich history here at White Memorial! We’ve been sending mission teams with ASP for over 30 years! This amazing mission trip provides one of the most rewarding structured service opportunities in the nation, bringing thousands of volunteers from around the country to rural Central Appalachia to repair homes for low-income families.   

Because the students will be using a variety of tools, we will hold a required tool training workshop on Saturday, 6/19/2027.

Montreat Youth Conference
Montreat Youth Conference

July 18-24, 2027
Rising 9th – Completed 12th grades
Cost: $750; Deposit $150
Montreat Conference Center

This conference is a unique gathering of high school students and their adult leaders from all over the country for a week of study, worship, and recreation. Activities include morning energizers, music, keynote speakers, small group meetings, afternoon recreation activities and evening worship. Montreat Youth Conference clears space for encountering God, discovering and deepening a vibrant and durable faith in Jesus Christ, and hearing an invitation to make a personal commitment to embody the love, justice and righteousness of Christ in our world.

Middle School Massanetta Youth Conference
Middle School Massanetta Youth Conference

July 13-16, 2026
Completed 6th – 8th grade

This middle school conference provides faith-filled, hands-on experiences designed specifically for Middle School youth. This conference is a chance to meet other young Presbyterians from across the country, which fosters a deeper understanding of the broader church. Massanetta’s unique conference structure of keynotes, music, recreation, workshops, and small groups—led by high school, ministry-minded “Advocates”
